Where Are We in the Universe?

 

The only comment I have to make regarding the above is that the very top image is our "observable" Universe.

Before proceeding, please spend some time studying the above dissection of the Universe to obtain a strong understanding of our location in the Universe, both in scope and scale.

Things of interest to notice/study:
• scales of distance in Light Years in each image
• Virgo cluster in relation to the Local Group
• the Andromeda Galaxy in relation to the Milky Way
• Ursa Major and Ursa Minor in relation to the Milky Way
• the Sun's location in the Milky Way and the scale of distance in Light Years
